"Little Dogs of
America"
presents CHIHUAHUA
pups!
The first litter was
born in May 2005.
Three males
(Continental, Super Rocket and Starhead Fred) , one female
(Connie).
BELOW - Connie,
smoothcoat female. She was the first pup sold.
BELOW - Super
Rocket, longhair male. He still comes to visit from time to
time.
BELOW - Continental, smoothcoat male. He grew to be
VERY LARGE. We kept him.
"Jackson", in the last
4th picture, was a male "stubby" Chihuahua that we owned for a year.
We sold him to a very
nice young lady.
BELOW - Fred, smoothcoat male. He was originally
named StarHead Fred
because when he was
born he had a white star on his head, which soon disappeared.
He was a "blue" pup, so
named because of his bluish coat.
BELOW - Wurligirl, the
momma and her pups.
BELOW - Alex and Jim with Continental at Piney Run Park, September
2007. We went out on a canoe.
And Super Rocket and
momma Wurligirl, 2009.
The two pix just above - Super Rocket
and his daddy dog Nipper.
Second litter - born
December 2005.
(We just could not keep Rocket and
WurliGirl apart!)
The two top pictures are the proud momma
Chihuahua, WurliGirl Wurlitzer. Below left : one coming out! Lower
right : Alex is holding Kahlua, the one longhair. Just as in the
first litter, there were 3 smoothcoats and 1 longhair.
Longhair Chihuahuas tend to be more mild-mannered.
Wurligirl was, again, a perfect Momma. The
birthings went smoothly with no complications.
We were prepared, however, just as before. We gave
Wurligirl NutriCal supplement.
and HERE THEY ARE ! ! !
This litter was 3 females and 1 male. The male
pup, Sam Adams, looked very much like his mommy, and was the first to
leave for his new home. The smoothcoat female, Amber Creme, was the
liveliest one, and found a new home where she was promptly named
"Tequilla". Bristol Creme, the other smoothcoat female, looked very
much like her daddy, and we sold her to very nice people. Actually,
we were VERY particular about who our pups went to! They ALL went to
nice people!
We would love to have them all come back and
visit.
ABOVE -
Rocket, the Daddy Dog (top of picture), and Bristol, his offspring
BELOW - All
four puppies
ABOVE - Two
sisters, Amber and Bristol. Amber Cream was very feisty, while
Bristol Cream was calmer.
BELOW - All
4 puppies. Left to right: Sam Adams (male), Bristol Creme (female),
Kahlua and Creme (longhair female), and Amber Creme, female.
The longhair female, Kahlua, we kept. Alex said
she had the most beautiful markings, and hoped to mate her with Super
Rocket, from the first litter. This has not been consummated, despite
several nights spent in our "honeymoon hotel" (the guest bathroom).

To the left is Smudge, she is nearly
three years old.
You can see the smudge on her
head.
She is very sweet and loving, and
surprisingly
aggressive and assertive,
especially at the food dish.
She would not let Super Rocket
mate with her!
